Place is an ongoing theme in my work, whether it be physical or envisioned. I like making work that reflects my love for technology, discovery, memory and mysticism. By exploring traditional and experimental creative processes, I intend to examine paradoxical themes such as beauty in despair and humanity through technology.

Born in Whitwell, Tennessee, Dana Jo Cooley is a contemporary artist and designer. She is a presidential scholarship recipient and graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design.
Cooley’s work spans a variety of media and formats, including miniatures, sculpture, assemblage, installation, public art, and set design. She exhibits and is collected throughout the southeast and abroad in galleries such as Lacoste School (Lacoste, France), Athica (Athens,Georgia), the Savannah Gallery (Atlanta, Georgia), The Red Gallery (Savannah, Georgia), Linda Matney Gallery, ZieherSmith Gallery (New York) , and Central Booking NYC (New York). She is member of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs a curated artist registry and recently waschosen “Best of Kickstarter 2012,” for her Love Shack Bus Stop.
Cooley inc orporates nine years of experience using laser cutting & engraving systems into her traditional creative process. By blending her purist aesthetic with computer-aided technology, she hopes to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art that seamlessly blend the old with the new.
