Self Portrait Glass Book- 3, 2009
8 Glass Pages, silk screened, painted and gilded, steel structure by Robert Roesch, 28 x 18 x 13 inches. $2000

My love of words and the narrative in art, leads me to design my work as book pieces. My artwork is done by Reverse painting, silk screen Sand blasting and gilding on glass or aluminum sheets. I aim for a visual weaving of images and text, and the merging of disparate imagery. I turn the ideas that occupy my interest into metaphors, myths and stories. I’m interested in the extraordinary –connected twins, sirens, the Vampire, and the vamp of her high heel shoes. I use glass and gilded metallic surfaces to symbolize dreams and the world in the wrong side of the mirror.
