I am more concerned with capturing the essence of light and atmosphere than I am with depicting an actual place. In my small works once described as “remarkable feats of verisimilitude” I strive for vastness in a limited space. I am able to explore the dualities of light and dark, calm and volatile, ethereal and solid as the sky touches the earth. The powerful forces of nature are defined in these meditative landscapes.
