Statement

The Blueprint Book is a mixed media book on canvas that collages imagery from science text books, art history, and my own naturalists sketches to explore sexuality in a satirical manner. Actual insects and plant matter are incorporated into the 26 hand-sewn pages. Linseed oil adds a pleasant aromatic aspect to the book as well. Like a spell book or an alchemist’s guide, it has the feel of a tome locked with magical potential.
