Her goal is to turn everyday stories universal. To achieve that, she uses the humor, the emotion or reflection, to develop multidisciplinary artistic projects that develop into installations, participatory art works and publications. Through critical sense, commitment and education, her work deals about themes such as the body and biographies, using a mixing of techniques like drawing, sculpture, embroidery, action, painting, books, sound and poetry. 


Sandra March, Bachelor Degree General Education, specialist in Education in Arts (2002, University of Barcelona), Master’s degree in Fine Arts and Philosophy (2005 and 2010, University of Barcelona), was born in La Seu d’Urgell (1974, Spain). She lived in Miami (USA), Paris (France), and now she resides in Barcelona (Spain).  

Sandra has been working on art since 2005. She makes Art Projects involving different disciplines. She has won the IV Grant for art Creation (Vic, 2010) and the First Prize of Experimental Poetry (Valladolid, 2013) among others. She has made artists residencies at Writer’s Room (2019, Miami), Pyramid Atlantic Art Center (2015, Washington DC), AlfaRa StuDio (2014, Salamanca- Spain) and CIEC Foundation (2013, Betanzos-Spain).

She has made solo exhibitions in galleries in Spain (Barcelona, Torroella de Montgrà­, Olot), United States (Miami), and group exhibitions abroad (Germany, Italy, México, Poland, USA, etc.). Her work are part of museums and institutions, highlighting the  National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington DC), the University of Miami (Florida), the George Mason University (Washington DC), Jaffe Center for book Arts (Florida Atlantic University), Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (Spain) and the Museum of the University of Alicante (Spain) among others.

She has worked as a teacher of Art in schools and universities. She also conducts workshops in art and education centers such as in the University of Barcelona, MUA Alicante, La Panera de Lleida, etc.
