This beautifully produced, full-color book is illuminated with original images and objects created by painter/artist Sharon Horvath. Handbound in a bifurcated, dos-à dos binding, once used to bind Old and New Testaments together, Printed via HP Indigo on Mohawk Superfine, an archival paper.

Ouvert Oeuvre: Openings is a collaboration between artist/author Warren Lehrer and poet, cultural theorist Adeena Karasick. The two poems form an ecstatically wrought exploration of re-entering the world after a pandemic that never seems to end. They foreground language and book-space as organisms of hope—highlighting the concept of opening and touching as an ever-swirling palimpsest of spectral voices, textures, whispers and codes as means of negotiating loss and light. Lehrer choreographs Karasick’s words on the stage of the page through typographic compositions that give form to the emotional, metaphorical, historical and sonic underpinnings of the texts. The book also comes with a soundtrack recording (via QR code) of Karasick reading the poems with music composed and performed by Sir Frank London. Exquisitely produced—in a symth-sewn, 3-color foil-stamped, 3-piece hardcover binding, printed on acid-free paper.

Five Oceans in a Teaspoon is a (large) collection of (short) visual poems, written by poet/investigative journalist Dennis J Bernstein, visualized by artist/author Warren Lehrer Bernstein’s poems reflect the struggle of everyday people trying to survive in the face of adversity. Divided into eight movement, the book reads like a memoir in poems. Lehrer’s typographic compositions give form to the interior, emotional and metaphorical underpinnings of the poems. Together, the writing and visuals create a new whole that engages the reader to become an active participant in the navigation, discovery, and experience of each poem. Lehrer & Bernstein’s 4th collaborative book, Five Oceans in a Teaspoon won 7 awards  including Independent Publisher Gold Medal for Poetry, Design Incubation and Society of Typographic Arts Awards.
