Child Migrants, Book IV, 2018

This book belongs to a series of books, paintings and woodcuts. It points out the devastating and underrepresented consequences of immigration laws and the impact they have on children such as family separation one of the most heartbreaking outcomes of strict immigration enforcement. Policies like “zero tolerance” in the United States have resulted in thousands of children being forcibly removed from their parents at borders. The trauma of such separation is immense. Children are left to navigate unfamiliar environments—such as detention centers—without the comfort or guidance of their caregivers.
