Ladder, 1999

Goldner has been making hinged sculptural steel books with movable pages since the early 1990s. They began as a way to add layers and complexity to the hanging panels which are similar to pages. These playful works are made from outtakes and scrap from the artist’s previous sculptures giving unplanned and unexpected forms.
