An altered found book: painted, marked and sculpted. The dial of a combination lock is attached to the inside front cover. Many pages and the front cover have been cut to create sequences of emerging and disappearing colors and forms. Ghosts of words and illustrative photos of the underlying book, a guide on Art and the Environment for classroom teachers, show through in places.
