Mixed media consisting of a book, hand-pulled etching printed in black ink, string, wood, tiny hardware, pulley, and screws. The rock face is poured, carved, and painted plaster. The flexible magnifying lens page is meant to waver but not be manipulated. A vintage postage stamp shows Charles Wilson Peale exhibiting the wonders of his museum and part of a commemorative fountain pen stamp has been added. From a series of 10 altered book sculptures begun in 2017 and still ongoing – homages to writers, storytellers, collection hoarders, and natural scientists.
