Roanheads Chimneys #2, 2014

Roanheads is one of the oldest parts of the town of Peterhead, these images depict long lived-in houses — house-shaped houses. In The Poetics of Space, Gaston Bachelard says, “If I were asked to name the chief benefit of the house, I should say: the house shelters day-dreaming, the house protects the dreamer, the house allows one to dream in peace.”
