“Interpretations” is inscribed under the signature in this much altered first edition of Thomas Meyer’s book of poetry, “Sappho’s Raft”. Colored orbs, other painted forms along with handwritten words and phrases, float, fly and nudge their way over and around the poems, fragments of which are still legible.
