Spiral Mountain Net, 2025

The accordion book “Spiral Mountain Net” features a surface net drawing that is built from a sequence of not-quite equilateral triangles. This patterning emphasizes the iterative graduation of the spirals, an important element of self-reinforcement of biological growth.

Graduating spirals that alternate are a common structure in nature, found in plants, shells as well as in embryology.
