Tea Party, 2023

The artist’s books, “Cocktail Hour” and “Tea Party” draw inspiration from George Orwell’s timely novel, 1984. They serve as a means to initiate a dialogue about navigating the challenges of living in what the Chinese refer to as “Interesting Times.” These books offer a platform for reflection, along with a beautiful setup for tea or cocktails, providing an opportunity to discuss the past and delve into the resilience and adaptability of individuals throughout history.

painted with stencil designs.
