CENTRAL BOOKING Magazine, like its parent gallery, provides a 360 degree view of artist’s books and their integration into the larger art world.

In the June issue, Béatrice Coron, known for her cut out cityscapes, offers an insight into her influences and the philosophies reflected in her work. Miriam Schaer enlightens us with a tutorial on Xerox Transfer techniques to embellish handmade books and doctor/collector Robert J. Ruben discusses his passion for artists’ books. Also appearing, the latest installment of the graphic/text collaborations of Omar Olivera and Jessica Elsaesser.

June’s catalog insert takes a closer look at the current Gallery II exhibition Anatomical/ Microbial/ Microcosms, and includes images and articles by art critic and curator Jill Conner; Professor of Neural Science and Psychology; Joseph LeDoux and artist Claire Watkins on the intersections between biology, neuroscience, and art in its many forms. Their discussions on memory, experience and history all highlight the rich possibilities of the cross pollination of these disciplines.

CENTRAL BOOKING Magazine is published quarterly, coinciding with Gallery II exhibitions. It can be purchased at single issue or subscription prices.
